Gwangju Technopark participated in the 2025 Cosmobeaute Vietnam exhibition, held in Ho Chi Minh City, to promote cosmetics developed by companies in the Gwangju region and target the Southeast Asian market. The participation led to substantial outcomes, including export contracts totaling USD 300,000.

Vietnam, a core market in Southeast Asia's Korean Wave movement, has shown strong post-pandemic recovery. Cosmobeaute Vietnam, one of the region’s premier beauty exhibitions, was held with the local Viet Beauty show. The event featured a wide range of beauty-related products, including cosmetics, skincare, hair spa items, beauty devices, and equipment.

The Gwangju Pavilion featured five regional companies: Aribieu, Minafay, Prime Derma, AANT, and Noah Cosmetic. These companies introduced products developed through the CosmediCare Manufacturing Base and Service Integration Advancement Project—a local initiative supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and led by Gwangju Technopark.

As for achievements:

  • Minafay signed a $100,000 export agreement with Vietnamese beauty equipment company Erada Vietnam JSC.

  • Prime Derma signed a deal with KBIT LVTH Aesthetic, and Aribieu reached an agreement with An Sinh Hospital, each worth $100,000.

  • This brought the total direct export contracts to $300,000.

During the exhibition, more than 300 export consultations worth approximately $5 million took place. Additionally, Gwangju Technopark and Chosun University’s Industry-Academia Cooperation Foundation signed three MOUs with local hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, including HRPD and An Sinh Hospital, amounting to an estimated $10 million in business value, paving the way for regional companies to further penetrate the Vietnamese beauty market.

Director of Gwangju Technopark, Mr. Kim, Youngjib added, “This exhibition served as a valuable opportunity to witness the potential of Gwangju’s beauty industry on the global stage. We will continue developing new strategies to promote global market expansion and foster the beauty industry as one of Gwangju’s key future growth engines."
